Program Mission

The School Resource Officer (SRO) program places specially trained deputy sheriffs in DeKalb County schools to provide a safe learning environment, build positive relationships with students, and serve as law enforcement liaisons for school administration.

Our SROs serve as educators, mentors, and protectors, working collaboratively with school staff, students, and parents to address safety concerns, prevent crime, and promote positive youth development throughout our school community.
