The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Transport team consists of Deputies who are responsible for safely transporting inmates to and from various facilities in surrounding states.

These facilities include courtrooms, other county jails, Indiana DOC, correctional facilities, hospitals and medical appointments.

In 2023, there were more than 400 transports traveling approximately 40,000 miles.
