Our Programs
With partnerships with a number of community volunteers, we are able to offer many programs to inmates at the DeKalb County Jail. These programs include, but are not limited to:
Educational Programs
GED Classes
Inmates can work toward their General Education Development (GED) certificate through structured classes and testing preparation.
Educational Resources
Access to educational materials, books, and learning programs through inmate tablets and the law library.
Life Skills Training
Programs designed to teach practical life skills including financial literacy, job readiness, and communication skills.
Parenting Classes
Educational programs focused on parenting skills, family relationships, and child development.
Treatment & Counseling
MRT Program
Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) is a systematic treatment strategy designed to enhance moral reasoning and improve decision-making skills.
Substance Abuse Counseling
Programs and counseling services designed to help inmates overcome addiction and develop healthy coping strategies.
Mental Health Services
Access to mental health professionals and counseling services for inmates in need of psychological support.
Anger Management
Structured programs to help inmates develop healthy ways to manage anger and resolve conflicts.
Religious Services
Religious services and spiritual guidance are available to inmates through partnerships with local faith communities and volunteer chaplains.

Community Partnerships
The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office is grateful for the support of community volunteers, religious organizations, and local agencies that make these programs possible. Through these partnerships, we strive to provide inmates with opportunities for personal growth, education, and rehabilitation.
